I am done with editing/revising my manuscript for “Warding Off Reality.” Done, done, done! (I’m speaking in a happy way— I don’t want to give off the tone that I’m complaining and frustrated.)
Late last week, I reached out to a publishing consultant for help in getting “Warding Off Reality” off the ground. I scheduled a phone conversation with her for early March. I’m excited and I can’t wait (although at the same time, I can wait😁). August, the month I intend to release “ Warding Off Reality,” seems to be closer now than it did last month or in 2020😆.
I’m trying again in getting this novel published, yet this time around the circumstances are different! Why? To make a long story short, let’s just say it’s because … well, I’m different! The history of this manuscript, this story, this project, has been such a yo-yo for me. It’s great again to revisit familiar grounds but with a dissimilar mindset. After many years of fear, frustration, and wandering in the wilderness regarding “Warding Off Reality,” I’m happy to know that the route I have chosen for it is the route I’m satisfied with.
Read a deleted scene from the novel, which is a love story set in a psychiatric ward. The book is set for release on August 2, 2021.
