A recent Daily Prompt from WordPress.com is as follows: “Tell us something most people probably don’t know about you.”
I read this prompt and thought, What’s the point in me actually saying something most people don’t know anyway? Is it so I can try hard to convince friends and strangers alike they don’t fully know me? I know for a fact that each one of them believe I’m a certain way based on their own convictions, so there’s actually no point in this.
However, to humor myself, here are some of my secrets:
- Once, on the vague speculations of three old witches, my spouse and I murdered the reigning king of a country in medieval times, only for me to become a bloodthirsty tyrant;
- My curiosity once got the best of me as I chased a white rabbit down a hole and into a strange land filled with bizarre wonders (or perhaps that was a dream yielded by a totally bad acid trip);
- I once woke up as a giant insect and had to live my life as thus.
Surprised? Yeah, I didn’t know those things about myself either.
