Daily Prompt: Say Your Name

My name is Teresa. I was named after my maternal great-grandmother because, according to my mother, “she’s the nicest person I’ve ever known.” When I was first born, my dad asked my mom what to name me. She suggested “Teresa.” He asked whether it should be spelled with or without an “h”. She said without. I wouldn’t rename myself; I think Teresa is a pretty name — with or without the “h.”:-)
