Why I gave up on "Pride and Prejudice"

The first time I started reading "Pride and Prejudice" was in middle school. I purchased a copy and read it not for a class assignment, but for my own pleasure. I never finished it. Then a few years ago, I picked up the book (the same purchased copy) again and resolved to complete it. I didn't hit that goal.

There are just some books that doesn't grab your interest as much as you would like for it to, and "Pride and Prejudice" was one of them. I really wanted to be interested in the novel and to read it entirely. Perhaps sheer determination is what it would take for me to finish it. I still have my copy. Maybe one day I will take a third attempt at reading it from cover to cover.
